We know that many of you are very curious people, and probably have questions we have
not even thought of. If you have a question you would like answered that is not included in

- Why don't you have a cart/ checkout system on your site?
We have chosen to funnel all our credit card sales through Paypal for several reasons. Our
website has been developed by a family member of the business owner and not a
professional web designer. Because of this, we are not comfortable asking you to trust your
money and private information to our coding skills. It is a matter of recognizing
limitations and not wanting to put your private information at risk. While there are
commercial "checkout systems" available for purchase, they are generally very expensive.
We do not want to add unneccessary costs that would increase the final price of our
products. Finally, using PayPal allows us to have a variety of payment options. We think this
flexibility is important for our buyers and makes good business sense to us.
- I like an item, but can I change the stone (findings, size, etc.)?
The short answer is yes.
The long answer is that we are very willing to work with you to create the piece that you
are looking for. However, we have to work within certain limits...these are the supplies
we have or are able to order, the time needed to create your custom piece, and changes in
cost if the piece you want involves more expensive materials than the ones pictured. Size
requests on rings are not considered a special order and are therefore available as long as the
beads or stones are still available. Other changes will be considered
special orders. I will talk about our special order policy in the next answer.
- Do you make special orders?
Yes, we do make special orders. However, we require the order to be made in writing and we may
need to exchange several emails to make sure that we have a clear understanding what you want. Once we have agreed on a product, we will negotiate a price based on the cost of
materials and projected time involved in creating the piece...this is an estimate and not a
At this point, neither side is obligated to complete the transaction, and either party can
cancel the order for any reason. Once the piece is completed, we will exchange a final
verification email, which will include pictures of the item, all relevant measurements, and
the final cost of the item. If you choose to purchase the item based on this email, the
transaction will continue as usual, including standard shipping and handling and
normal return policies. If you choose not to buy the item, then the jewelry can be sold to
If an item is special ordered, and the final verification email is not answered, or comes
back undeliverable, we will make every effort to contact you. But if we are not able to
reach you, or the final verification email is not answered within 2 weeks, the transaction
will be cancelled. The jewelry piece can then be sold to another customer.
All special order designs remain the property of Rock 'N Silver and can be used as desired
by Rock 'N Silver.
- Do you take returns?
We take returns under a limited set of circumstances. If you have purchased a piece of
jewelry, please inspect it as soon as it arrives and contact us immediately if there are
any problems. We want you to be satisfied with the jewelry you purchase from us.
If there are any flaws in the manufacture of the jewelery, please return the item to us.
You will have the option at that point of either recieving a
refund for the return shipping and the full purchase
price of the item, a replacement piece,
or a repair of the damaged jewelry if such a repair can be made without lowering the
quality of the work. We do not accept returns for any reason other than a flaw in the
product. Please be sure to speak with us
right away about any concerns you have about anything purchased from us, and we will do our
best to make sure you are happy with the items you recieve.
- How much is shipping?
We ship through the USPS, but are currently determining the best and safest way to ship our products.
Please contact us regarding the items you are interested in and we will calculate shipping and
handling based on the size and weight of the item and the amount of protection it needs. For
packages containing items over $35 in value before tax, we require that insurance be purchased
Shipping and handling are automatically combined when more than one item is included in an order.
